A spam filter for hosting providers that your customers can see working
SpamFoo works with the mail servers you already operate. Run it on those servers, let us host it for the ones that are short on resources, or run SpamFoo on dedicated servers in your own data center. Each customer gets a dashboard for their own domain, and each user's corrections take effect for their mailbox right away.
01The problem
Shared mail servers get one spam setting, and it fits nobody
The tickets keep coming
A customer forwards a phishing email that got through, or asks where an invoice went. Your support team adjusts a score for the whole server and hopes it helps.
Customers compare you with the big providers
Large mail providers learn from each user and sort receipts and newsletters away from personal mail. A plain inbox makes your mail plans look dated next to them.
Rules don't follow the attacker
Block lists and keyword rules catch last week's wording. When the scam is reworded, someone on your team writes another rule.
02Customer dashboards
Each customer runs their own domain from a dashboard you hand them
SpamFoo's dashboard works the way hosting already works. You see the whole server. Your customer sees their domain. Their staff each see their own mailbox, and nobody sees anyone else's messages.
| Role | In your business | What they do |
|---|---|---|
| System admin | Your operations team | Watch every domain, set server rules and check server status |
| Domain admin | Your customer | Set rules and protected identities for their domain and see totals for each mailbox |
| User | Your customer's staff | Review their own mail, set their own rules and train SpamFoo for their mailbox |
03Email Classification
Why sorted mail matters to the people on your plans
Most of the mail a small business receives isn't from a person. It is order receipts, bank notices, software alerts and sales mail. When all of it lands in one list, the email from a client sits between two coupons.
With Email Classification, your customers open Transactions when they need a receipt, check Updates once a day and leave Promotions for later. It's a feature people notice in the first minute.
04Selling it
Add SpamFoo to your mail plans
Your control panel can sign a customer into their dashboard with a single link, and your billing system can add, change and remove licenses through our partner API. Every license includes the same three features, so you can offer SpamFoo as one upgrade under your own plan name and price.
Antispam
Spam filtering that learns from each user, with a dashboard for the customer's domain.
Anti-Phishing
Protected identities and look-alike domain checks for customers who handle payments by email.
Email Classification
Mail sorted into Primary, Transactions, Updates and Promotions for every mailbox on the plan.
05Large networks
SpamFoo on dedicated servers in your own data center
If you run mail for many customers, you may want SpamFoo on machines of its own, inside your network. Your mail servers keep their SpamFoo integration, and the checking happens on servers you control.
Every network is different, so we plan the setup with your team, help size the hardware and build the integration together.
- Works with the mail servers SpamFoo already supports
- One or more dedicated servers running SpamFoo, sized for your mail volume
- We help decide whether a GPU is worth adding at your volume
- The same dashboard for you, your customers and their staff
Questions hosting providers ask
Do we have to change our MX records?
No. SpamFoo can run on your mail servers, on dedicated servers in your network or as an instance we host. In each case your mail server asks SpamFoo about each message and keeps delivering mail the way it does today.
Can a customer see another customer's mail?
No. A domain admin sees only their own domain. Even inside their domain, they see totals for other mailboxes, not the messages.
How is SpamFoo licensed?
Each mail server that runs SpamFoo needs its own license, and each hosted instance has its own plan. Partners manage all of their licenses from one partner account. Data center deployments are licensed by agreement.
Spam a problem on your servers?
Tell us which mail server you run and which domains are affected. We'll help you get SpamFoo checking that mail on a trial license.
